Jim Lowther has been organising children’s holiday courses since 1990 starting off at Brentford FC’s community programme and then managing Wimbledon FC’s Football and Community programme. He then helped set up AFC Wimbledon’s award-winning community programme before moving to N. Ireland.
More recently he has organised very successful camps for Clonee Utd (Dublin),Ballina Town FC (Co. Mayo) and for his own company,Soccer Steps in Newry , Co.Down. All camps are staffed with coaches from England who have worked at Academy level (see Staff tab) and local qualified coaches. The holiday camps are week long and can be in different formats: full day or half day. There are also specialist camps for strikers and goalkeepers.

“Jim Lowther has an excellent track record in football development at Premier League level. He organises high quality coaching activities for young players. I have seen the quality of his work both at Wimbledon FC and more recently in Ireland. Young players and coaches will definitely benefit from his coaching and sports science expertise”

“I have seen Jim working as a coach since 2010 and have valued the quality of his work. He has also coached my two sons and my club teams over the years. Jim organised and staffed two amazing summer camps at Clonee Utd where he got coaches from English clubs to work on the camps. It was a fantastic high-quality football coaching experience for over 150 boys and girls within the club. He also provides key insights regarding player development and club planning that I have taken on board”

“As a young player I went on Jim Lowther’s soccer camps. Enjoyed his coaching. The camps were great fun, well organised and provided useful tips to help develop my game.”
